Set over two floors of a Parisian nineteen century's building on rue du Fauburg St. Honore' , this renovation, curated by Eric Carlson, meet chromatic romanticism and imperial elegance.
Through precious materials and high craftsmanship, the project represents the union of Italian and French aesthetics.
The interior spaces are designed as large open areas that flow together, with an interlocking diamond pattern of polished Fior di Pesco, Salome, and Sequoia Red marble flowing over the floors throughout the store.
To join the different floors, a sumptuous staircase in Rouge de Roi marble, and a second one in red Belgian marble.
Behind each stairs two seven meters high, hand-cut, glass and enamel mosaic, portraying Napoleon and Josephine de Beauharnais, manufactured and installed by Friul Mosaic.
Both intensely detailed and colorful murals are interpretations of the early 1800’s coronation paintings by half-Italian half-French painter, Baron François Gérard are a result of 8 Maestri mosaicists and over 2,000 hours of work.
